Thailand is a well connected and cosmopolitan center in South East Asia. You’ll have little trouble getting connected to the internet or figuring out how to ride their mass rail system (BTS). You may however have difficulty communicating in English as only some locals can understand or speak English. It’s best to get a map, a phone number, and a local sim card with data in case you run into a taxi driver that cannot figure out where you want to go.
