As of 2014, there is only one mobile operator in North Korea that offers (some) mobile connectivity for tourists. Koryolink allows foreigners to buy a SIM for voice calls and SMS, though only to international numbers. Tourists generally do not have access to mobile internet at the moment. A passport is required to purchase a SIM card.
